FEB 2010

I've been into sci-fi cinema for a long time. It's that place in cinema where your imagination is the limit and the audience "buy in" into that world created on kind of if you say so basis.

Rob and I had many discussions about film, most of which came back to sci-fi and action. So when he invited me to write two episodes on Loner I was very excited and apprehensive at the same time because as much as I like sci-fi I'd never written stories of that type. But to his created Rob had created a clear and well structured world with strong clearly defined characters.

The episodes I wrote allowed me to explore the relationship between Loner and Sa'car and how with the Draval stripping individual identity from the universe these two need each other to define themselves. I enjoyed the fact that as much as they are oppositional in story and character they are the same.

I've seen the episodes come together and they continue to get better: visual are more sophisticated, the sound effects and accompanying mood music really bring life to the words I was Rob penning months ago. I say Rob because I'm yet to see my first episode which it out on the March 1st.  I can't wait. No previews, I'll be watching on line with you guys.
